How we started
The Institutional Grammar Research Initiative (IGRI) was formed following a workshop held at Syracuse University on October 19-20, 2018. This workshop convened participants from nine academic institutions across five countries to discuss theoretical and methodological development of the Institutional Grammar based on published and ongoing research. The workshop included participants with various disciplinary backgrounds, including political science, computer science, and public affairs.
In addition to identifying opportunities for future research, the deliberations that took place at the workshop recognized a growing community of scholars from around the world that are committed to the development of the Institutional Grammar. IGRI provides a venue to connect and support these scholars in their research.
